I am Paul Hirsch, operating as Paul Hirsch Web Design (“I,” “me,” or “my”), based in Payson, Arizona. This policy explains how I collect, use, and handle information when you visit paulhirschwebdesign.com or submit an inquiry through the website, including my follow-up communications about that inquiry. It does not describe my broader handling of customer records in providing website services to clients. My website is intended for visitors in the United States.
When you submit my website’s contact form, I collect your first and last name, email address, project description, and any phone number, business name, or service selection you provide. I may also receive additional correspondence and attachments when following up about your inquiry.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information through the contact form. My website does not collect payment-card information or offer online checkout.

My website uses Netlify for hosting and contact-form processing. Form submissions are stored in Netlify, and notification emails are sent to paul@paulhirschwebdesign.com through Google Workspace, my business email provider. Netlify screens submissions for spam using Akismet, a service operated by Automattic. I am the only person with access to my Netlify projects.
These providers process information to deliver their services. Hosting and technology providers may also process technical information, such as IP addresses, request times, requested resources, and browser information, to operate and protect their services.
My website currently uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use it. Information collected includes pages viewed, referring websites, device and browser type, approximate location, and website interactions. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers, and Google processes this information to provide analytics reports.
I do not link Google Analytics to advertising accounts or use Google Signals. I have disabled automatic detection of names, email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses through Google’s user-provided data feature.
My Google Analytics settings retain event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. New activity resets the retention period for user identifiers. These settings do not affect standard aggregated reports.
My website loads Google Analytics when a page is opened and does not display a consent banner. Learn more about how Google uses information from websites that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Your analytics choices: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although blocking cookies alone may not prevent all analytics requests. For supported browsers, Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. My website does not currently respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. You can also contact me by email instead of using the website’s contact form.
I may use AI-assisted tools from Anthropic or OpenAI to help respond to website inquiries and assess suspected spam, scams, or fraudulent requests. Information submitted to these tools may include relevant portions of inquiries, related correspondence, and screenshots.
I aim to remove or omit unnecessary personal and confidential details before submitting information. Providers process submitted information under their applicable terms, privacy policies, and account settings. Where available, I turn off settings that allow providers to use submitted information to train their AI models.
I do not sell or rent information covered by this policy or use or share it for targeted or cross-site advertising.
Hosting, form-processing, email, analytics, and AI providers may process information as described in this policy to operate the website and help me handle inquiries.
I may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect legal rights or address fraud or security issues.
I retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, maintain records of related communications, and meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Retention periods vary depending on the information and its purpose. Website analytics retention is described in the “Google Analytics and cookies” section above.
You may request deletion by contacting me. I may retain certain information where needed to meet legal obligations or address outstanding business or legal matters.
You may contact me to ask about information you have provided or to request a correction or deletion. I will review your request and respond as soon as reasonably practicable. I may need information to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
My website uses HTTPS to encrypt information transmitted between your browser and the website. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
My website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through my website, please contact me so I can review and address it.
My website includes links to client websites and other external resources. Those websites have their own privacy practices and policies. Inclusion in my portfolio does not mean that their information practices are the same as mine.
